News round-up: Dariusz Zuraw has extended his contract with Hannover 96 on a busy day in Germany.

Extended deal
The 31-year-old Polish defender has agreed to spend two more seasons with Ewald Lienen's side after playing 25 matches this term. The club have also handed a two-year deal to Gürman Agac while another youngster, Sezai Demircan, has been given a three-year contract.

Engelhardt signs
Elsewhere in the Bundesliga, 1. FC Kaiserslautern have recruited 23-year-old midfield player Marco Engelhardt from second-division side Karlsruher SC. The newcomer, who joins on a free transfer, has signed a four-year deal, while young Thomas Drescher has inked his first professional contract, a two-year agreement.

Reimann steps down
Another German club planning for the future are FC Hansa Rostock, who have signed a one-year extension with 22-year-old striker Marco Vorbeck, but relegated Eintracht Frankfurt have had a less happy day as they announced they will part company with coach Willi Reimann.

Gogniyev joins Rotor
In Russia, PFC CSKA Moskva midfield player Spartak Gogniev has agreed to spend the next six months on loan at SC Rotor Volgograd. The former FC Dinamo Moskva player has not played a game under Spartak coach Artur Jorge and is keen for first-team football at bottom side Rotor.

Hanssen goes Dutch
Eredivisie outfit SC Heerenveen will sign Norwegian midfield player André Hanssen when his contract at FK Bodø/Glimt expires on 1 January 2005. The 23-year-old has agreed a three-and-a-half year contract with the Dutch team who will be playing in next season's UEFA Cup.

Konstanti picks Xanthi
In Greece, Xanthi FC have lured Cypriot international midfield player Georgos Konstanti from AEL Limassol FC on a three-year contract. The 24-year-old had been a transfer target for Cypriot giants APOEL FC and Omonia AC but has decided to try his luck at the club where former AEL coach Yiannis Mantzourakis is the technical adviser.

New faces at Anorthosis
Elsewhere in Cyprus, troubled Anorthosis Famagusta FC have appointed a new president and board of directors as they aim to end their financial troubles. Andreas Pantelis has replaced Kyriakos Theocharous as president with a further 14 new members joining the board as the club look to settle their outstanding debts.
