FC Baník Ostrava defeated second division FK Vysocina Jihlava 2-1 in the Czech Cup semi-finals to remain on course for the domestic double.

Sparta in final
In the final the league champions will meet second-placed AC Sparta Praha, who saw off FC Slovan Liberec 1-0 to earn a place in the 18 May showpiece. With both finalists UEFA Champions League-bound, fourth-placed SK Slavia Praha will gain a UEFA Cup place to continue a decade-long run of European qualification.

Comeback win
It seemed Baník could be heading for a shock defeat when Petr Vladyka gave their opponents a 30th-minute lead. But Marek Heinz levelled on 66 minutes and then six minutes from time Miroslav Matusovic ended the surprise semi-finalists' dreams.

Petrás header
Meanwhile, Sparta took a 15th-minute lead in their tie through Slovakian defender Martin Petrás's headed goal, and held on to that advantage to set up a fascinating final.
