Luyindula gives Lyon the edge

A second-half goal from Péguy Luyindula sent Olympique Lyonnais back to the top of Ligue 1 with a 1-0 win at RC Strasbourg.

Tight at the top
The champions, who were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals by FC Porto on Wednesday, have 66 points from 32 matches, one more than AS Monaco FC and three more than Paris Saint-Germain FC. All three teams have six matches left to play.

Monaco held
Monaco were held to a 0-0 draw at RC Lens yesterday while PSG snatched a 2-1 win at OGC Nice. PSG will host Lyon in the penultimate round of matches.

Luyindula goal
After a poor first half tonight, French international forward Luyindula was set up by Brazilian defender Edmílson for the winner. Luyindula outpaced the home defence to net his 14th goal of the season right at the start of the second period. Strasbourg, 14th with 33 points, had a few chances but failed to find an equaliser.
