Henry injury adds to Arsenal woe

'Out for the weekend'
Henry suffered a hamstring injury in Tuesday's loss to Chelsea, and according to manager Arsène Wenger, "will be out for the weekend, but it's difficult to say for how long after that." The 26-year-old French international definitely misses Friday's home game against Arsenal FC and Sunday's trip to Newcastle United FC. Arsenal lead the Premiership by four points from Chelsea, and have a match in hand on their Champions League nemesis.

Deisler return
FC Bayern München's German international midfield player Sebastian Deisler will return to action with the club's reserve team on Thursday night - five months after he was given leave of absence to seek treatment for depression.

'Needs matches'
The 24-year-old last played for Bayern on 9 November 2003, in a 4-1 win against BV Borussia Dortmund. However, he was then admitted to a Munich clinic to be treated for depression. Last week he was passed fit for action by the Bayern medical team but left out of the squad for Saturday's league game at 1. FC Kaiserslautern. He will not be involved against FC Schalke 04 this weekend either, but will feature for the reserves against Offenbacher Kickers 1901 on Thursday. Coach Ottmar Hitzfeld said: "He needs to get some matches under his belt and that is why he will play for the reserves."

Leniency for Russian pair
Russian internationals Dmitri Bulykin and Sergei Ignashevitch, who were banned for five matches following a brawl during last month's Moscow derby between FC Dinamo Moskva and PFC CSKA Moskva, have had their suspensions reduced by the Football Union of Russia's control and disciplinary body. The pair will now serve three-match bans with a further two-game sanction held over for six months subject to good behaviour.

Rangers captain sidelined
Rangers FC captain Craig Moore will miss the rest of the Scottish Premier League season in order to undergo surgery on a knee injury. The 28-year-old Australian international defender needs an operation to clean up the joint. Manager Alex McLeish said: "Craig needs a clean-up operation and this could be done within the next couple of weeks. It means that his season is effectively over, but it means he will be completely clear for the start of pre-season."

Feyenoord contract
Feyenoord have awarded a three-year contract to Patrick Mtiliga, the Danish left-back who has impressed for the Eredivisie club since the winter break. The 23-year-old joined Feyenoord from B 1903 København in 1999, but had been playing for the Rotterdam side's feeder team SC Excelsior until the new year, when he was recalled by Feyenoord due to an injury crisis at De Kuip. He has now signed a contract until 2007. "He has everything needed to make it in the coming years," Feyenoord technical manager Mark Wotte said.

Change of heart for Dinamo
Finally, Romanian league leaders FC Dinamo Bucuresti have pulled out of a deal to sign young Romanian international Tibor Moldovan from FC Apulum Unirea. Dinamo had agreed a five-year contract with the 22-year-old forward, who was due to change clubs in the summer. However, Dinamo released a statement saying they no longer wanted Moldovan after the player was involved in a domestic incident at the weekend in which a woman was hurt.
