‘Very happy’
The 41-year-old will deal exclusively with sports and technical matters while Konstantin Bazhdekov stays in charge of financial issues. Sirakov resigned from the post in April when his powers were reduced but confirmed he had been given his job back following Saturday’s 3-0 defeat of league leaders PFC Lokomotiv Plovdiv. "I am very happy to return to the club," he said. "We are still in the race for the title."
Levski legend
Sirakov is a Levski legend. He won six domestic championships and four cups with the side and also won 82 caps for Bulgaria, scoring 23 goals. Outside of his homeland, he has represented Real Zaragoza, RCD Espanyol and RC Lens. Levski lie in fourth place in the standings, five points behind Plovdiv.
