Article body
Ukraine can still qualify for the UEFA European Women's Championship after a dramatic victory against Group 4 rivals Scotland.
Djatel winner
The match in Simferopol seemed to be heading for a draw when two minutes from the end Vera Djatel claimed the winner. Victory continues a fine turnaround by the Ukrainian team, who were without a win seven days ago but followed up victory in Portugal with today's triumph against a team that beat them 5-1 eleven months ago.
Level with Czechs
Those six points, added to an earlier draw with the Czech Republic, leave Ukraine in third place with two fixtures left. They are level on points with the Czech Republic in the race for the play-off berth, although Ukraine have played two games more, and a point ahead of Scotland.
Germany await
Ukraine face a tough task in their next game, though, as they visit runaway group leaders Germany on 28 April. A home win in that game would then leave the world champions able to clinch qualification on 2 May in Scotland.
