Czech midfield player Ales Urbanek has joined FC Spartak Moskva for an undisclosed transfer fee from FC Sigma Olomouc.
Four-year deal
The 23-year-old, who usually plays on the left wing, has signed a four-year contract with the Russian club after scoring three goals in 12 games this season. He leaves his home country having made 122 top-flight appearances, in the course of which he scored 13 goals.
Fellow countrymen
The process of settling in at his new club may be made easier by the presence of a number of Urbanek's countrymen at Moscow clubs. His former Sigma team-mate Stanislav Vlcek joined Spartak's local rivals FC Dinamo Moskva earlier this season.
