Tunisia edge past Nigeria

Members

Tunisia overcame Nigeria 5-3 on penalties to reach the African Cup of Nations final, where they will meet Morocco.

Hagui penalty
Karim Hagui coverted the winning penalty for Roger Lemerre's side after Ali Boumnijel had saved from Nigeria's Peter Odemwingie. The match itself finished 1-1 and was another story of spot-kicks. Jay-Jay Okocha gave Nigeria the lead after 65 minutes after Hagui had fouled Nwankwo Kanu in the box.

Badra booking
But Tunisia equalised eight minutes from time when Seyi Olofinjana tripped Ziad Jaziri and captain Khaled Badra scored. The pity for Badra is he collected a booking earlier in the match which means he will miss Saturday's final.

Mokhtari the hero
Youssef Mokhtari was Morocco's hero against Mali. He opened the scoring with a 14th-minute free-kick and doubled the lead with a low drive shortly before the hour. Youssef Hadji added the third when he converted a Marouane Chamakh cross after 80 minutes and substitute Nabil Baha completed the scoring in added time.
