The 29-year-old, who has scored nine goals in 32 internationals, joins the Swedish club after his contract with Norwegian side Stabæk IF expired.
'We are delighted'
"We've been looking for this kind of player for a long time and we are delighted he has joined the club," said Örgryte director of sport Stefan Allbäck. "He's got a lot of experience."
Icelandic connection
Örgryte already have Icelanders Atli Thorarinsson and Johann Gudmundsson in their squad, and will hope this latest acquisition compensates for the loss of Afonso Alves, who joined Malmö FF in December. Örgryte finished fourth in the Allsvenskan last season.
