One-year deal
The man who led FK Riga to a fifth-placed finish in the 2003 Latvian season has become the eighth man to coach Brest since 2000, signing a one-year contract ahead of the beginning of the new season in April.
Syrokvashko to assist
Brest began their last campaign with Andrei Sosnicky in charge but he was subsequently replaced by Oleg Syrokvashko who guided the club to an eleventh-placed finish. Syrokvashko has now been named as Nesterenko's assistant.
