Former Swedish international Patrik Andersson has returned to his homeland to sign for Malmö FF.
One-year deal
The defender, capped 96 times, terminated his FC Barcelona contract last month promising he would not join a club outside Sweden. He has now signed a one-year deal with the ambitious Allsvenskan side, who ended the 2003 season in third.
'Going for gold'
Andersson said: "I am going for gold. I can help the other players with thoughts on how it feels to play under pressure. I have got a lot of experience of doing that. We have got a strong squad and we must stand united - if we can do that we will be winners."

Malmö's director of sport, Hasse Borg, declared: "It is a great day in the history of Malmö FF. Patrik is a world-class player and he is a huge leader as well"
