Eintracht to miss Möller

Members

News round-up: Bundesliga clubs Eintracht Frankfurt and Hamburger SV have lost key players to injury.

Cost of victory
Möller, 36, sustained the injury to his left leg during Saturday's Bundesliga game against VfL Wolfsburg, limping off after 23 minutes of his team's 3-2 home victory. The former German international will miss Eintracht's last three matches before the winter break. Eintracht are third from bottom in the standings with eleven points from 14 games.

Romeo heartache
Meanwhile, Hamburger SV will be without Argentinian striker Bernardo Romeo until the spring campaign after tests revealed the severity of the player's ankle injury. Romeo has damaged ligaments in his right ankle and will now follow a course of rehabilitation. He last appeared for Hamburg in a 3-1 win against TSV 1860 München three weeks ago.

Strasbourg setback
Across the border in France, RC Strasbourg's veteran midfield player Corentin Martins has also succumbed to a thigh injury. The 34-year-old picked up the problem in training last week and will be sidelined until 2004. Meanwhile, FC Steaua Bucuresti midfield player Nana Falemi broke his ankle during Sunday's Romanian league game against FC Universitatea Craiova and will be unavailable for at least a month. Falemi suffered the fracture in a challenge with Universitatea player-coach Pavel Badea.

Cimirotic signs
Finally, Slovenian international forward Sebastjan Cimirotic has returned home from Serie A club US Lecce to sign a one-year contract with NK Olimpija Ljubljana. Before falling victim to a serious ligament injury, Cimirotic had scored five goals in 22 internationals.
