Bundesliga club Hannover 96 have extended the contracts of Salim Djefaflia and Fabian Montabell.

Promising talent
Midfield player Djefaflia's deal now runs until 30 June 2005. The 25-year-old has made one first-team appearance, but is considered a prospect for the future by coach Ralf Rangnick.

Teenager signs on
Meanwhile, 19-year-old Montabell has committed to the club until 30 June 2006, with an option for a further year. Hannover lie eleventh in the Bundesliga at the winter break.

Bamogo staying put
Meanwhile, French side Montpellier Hérault SC have persuaded striker Habib Bamogo to extend his contract with the club to next season. The France Under-21 international has scored nine goals in 19 games this season and is set to become one of the Languedoc side's greatest assets.
