Georgatos returns to Olympiacos

Keen on move
Georgatos, capped 34 times by Greece, was so keen to rejoin the club where he made his name in the 1990s that he paid up his contract at AEK. He has agreed a two-and-a-half year deal with the current league leaders, which includes the option of a one-year extension.

Italian sojourn
Piraeus-born Georgatos was part of the side that ended Olympiacos fans' ten-year wait for the title in 1996/97, and after winning two further championships he moved to FC Internazionale. Two spells with Inter, the second after a brief return to Olympiacos, were followed by a transfer back to Greece with AEK, where Georgatos made 29 league appearances in two seasons.
