Elazigspor have ended their search for a new coach by handing the job to Güvenç Kurtar.

Turkish Super League club Elazigspor have ended their search for a new coach by appointing Güvenç Kurtar.

Mitrovic resignation
The 53-year-old former Kocaelispor coach will sign a one-year contract tomorrow to take over from Milorad Mitrovic, who resigned last week. He has named Erhan Altan as his assistant and Mahir Günok as the club's goalkeeping coach.

'Doing our best'
"We are doing our best to rescue Elazigspor from its troubled state. Now we have solved the coaching crisis," said club president Baki Aydin, who added that the deal would have been signed today had bad weather not prevented Kurtar's plane from arriving in Elazig.

One off the bottom
Elazigspor are currently just one place off the bottom of the table, and have already dispensed with the services of two coaches this season. Ümit Turmus began the season in charge but was replaced by Mitrovic after fourth successive defeats. Kurtar will take charge for the first time on Sunday against Malatyaspor.
