Boeve dismissed by Zwolle

FC Zwolle have sacked coach Peter Boeve after a disappointing start to the new Eredivisie season.

Nijkamp steps in
Assistant coach Gerard Nijkamp has been placed in temporary charge after the 46-year-old Boeve was dismissed. The former AFC Ajax and Netherlands player took the reins at Zwolle in summer 2002 and kept the club in the top flight last season after winning a relegation play-off.

'Chemistry missing'
However, Zwolle are bottom of the table with only one point from their first five matches of the new season. A club statement said: "For some time the chemistry between the players and coach has been missing, which is a minimum requirement for better results. The board does not see any sign that this would be able to improve."
