Jeffers leads Everton arrivals

Everton FC's four signings made them the busiest English Premiership club on transfer deadline day.

Jeffers back
Manager David Moyes's biggest coup was to bring England striker Francis Jeffers back to Goodison Park from Arsenal FC - the club he left Everton to join two summers ago in a €14m move. Jeffers, 22, has returned on a season's loan with a view to a permanent transfer.

McFadden deal
Moyes has also recruited Scotland forward James McFadden for €1.8m from Scottish Premier League side Motherwell FC. The terms of the 20-year-old's contract are yet to be revealed.

Two more
Republic of Ireland winger Kevin Kilbane, 26, was brought from Sunderland AFC, relegated to the first division last season, in a €1m deal which could rise to €1.4m, while 37-year-old former England goalkeeper Nigel Martyn cost Everton a nominal fee as he arrived from Leeds United AFC. Kilbane and Martyn have both signed two-year contracts.

Pembridge out
Leaving Goodison was Welsh international midfield player Mark Pembridge. The 32-year-old was sold to Fulham FC in a transfer that could total €1m.
