Twenty-one on the plane
Twenty-six players had been invited to the Alpine resort of Tignes for France's final preparations but only 21 could go to the US for their country's first appearance at the Women's World Cup.
Duo promoted
Loisel has called up two members of France's UEFA European Women's Under-19 Championship winning side for the senior event - Amélie Coquet and Anne Laure Casseleux - to complement key players such as captain Corinne Diacre and striker Marinette Pichon. "The U19 players are full of confidence and showed obvious qualities," Loisel said.
Testing section
France will play a friendly against Iceland next Tuesday near Paris. Two days later they will head to Philadelphia where their first Group B match is scheduled against Norway. They will also face Brazil and the Korean Republic in a testing section.
