Wolves in double striker swoop

Members

Wolverhampton Wanderers FC have boosted their attacking options by signing Steffen Iversen and Henri Camara.

Early release
Former Rosenborg BK forward Iversen has completed his free transfer from Tottenham Hotspur FC after putting pen to paper on a 12-month contract. Iversen, 26, had a year left on his deal at White Hart Lane but Tottenham agreed to release him early. The London club released a statement confirming that "Iversen has agreed terms with Wolves and has signed for the Molineux side".

Match-winner
Iversen's capture follows that of striker Camara from French club CS Sedan-Ardennes. The 26-year-old has cost Wolves an initial €2.2m, which could rise to €2.9m, the club announced on their official website. Camara, who scored Senegal's golden goal winner against Sweden in last year's FIFA World Cup, has penned a four-year contract. "Henri will bring lots of pace and will score goals and he's a long-term signing for us," Wolves manager Dave Jones said.
