Russia round-up: Three off in crucial draw

Nine against ten
Both sides were reduced to ten men after 25 minutes as Deividas Semberas of CSKA and Saturn's Niclas Pavlovic were sent off for fighting. On 35 minutes, visitors Saturn went ahead when Alexander Gorshkov fed Prince Amoako and the Ghanaian striker beat CSKA's 17-year-old goalkeeper, Igor Akinfeev.

Gusev free-kick
Within three minutes, CSKA were down to nine men when Elver Rahimic also received a red card, but Valeri Gazzaev's side held on and levelled the game eleven minutes from time thanks to Rolan Gusev's free-kick

Dinamo draw
FC Dinamo Moskva are a further point behind Saturn - both teams having a game in hand on CSKA - after drawing 0-0 with FC Zenit St. Peterburg. However, the visitors played for 79 minutes with just ten men after Pascal Mendi's early sending-off. FC Rubin Kazan missed the chance to overtake both Dinamo and Saturn on Monday, when they lost 4-2 at FC Torpedo Moskva.

Rubin torpedoed
Although Calisto gave Rubin an early lead, Igor Semshov equalised two minutes before half-time. Three goals in ten minutes shortly after the hour from Vladimir Leonchenko, Sergei Kormiltsev, Alexander Shirko won the game for Torpedo.

Title-holders claim win
Reigning champions FC Lokomotiv Moskva are up to fifth after two late goals saw them beat FC Krylya Sovetov Samara 2-1. Lokomotiv manager Yuri Semin, whose side clinched a UEFA Champions League berth on Wednesay after overcoming FC Shakhtar Donetsk, rested Dmitry Loskov and Vladimir Maminov, but was forced to bring them on after Krylya Sovetov took a 53rd-minute lead through Andrei Tikhonov. Loskov's arrival proved crucial as he set up Mikhail Ashvetia to equalise on 79 minutes and then claimed the winner himself five minutes later.

Spartak victory
FC Spartak Moskva dented FC Shinnik Yaroslavl's European hopes with a 2-1 away victory with early goals from Yegor Titov and Roman Pavlyuchenko, while FC Torpedo-Metallurg Moskva are now six points adrift at the bottom after losing 3-0 to FC Rostov-na-Donu.

Dadu goal
FC Spartak-Alania Vladikavkaz gave themselves hope of avoiding relegation as new signing Sergei Dadu scored the only goal in a 1-0 win against FC Chernomorets Krasnodarskiy Kray, but FC Uralan Elista are still in trouble after losing by the same score to SC Rotor Volgograd.
