Jordi Cruyff has joined Primera División side RCD Espanyol from relegated Deportivo Alavés.
Free transfer
Jordi arrives on a free transfer after his contract with Alavés expired at the end of June. Capped nine times by the Netherlands, he is returning to the city where he made his senior breakthrough with FC Barcelona in the early 1990s.
'Skill and experience'
He moved to Manchester United FC in 1996 then, after a spell on loan at RC Celta de Vigo in 1999, joined Alavés a year later. Espanyol coach Javier Clemente said: "He is a forward who also can play as an attacking midfield player, a player with skill and experience."
