FK Karabakh-Azersun and FK Shafa maintained their winning starts to the season with victories over FK Shamkir and FK Bakili this weekend.

Tie of the round
Karabakh-Azersun reigning champions Shamkir's perfect start to the campaign with a 2-0 success the tie of the round. Elmir Khankishiev opened the scoring on nine minutes with a low strike past goalkeeper Rauf Mekhtiev and Azerbaijani international defender and former Shamkir player Aslan Kerimov made it 2-0 with a magnificent 35-metre shot.

Easy for Shafa
Shafa recorded their fifth straight victory as they cruised to a comfortable 3-0 win over FK Bakili. Emin Imamaliev gave his team a flying start as he hit the target after just 2 minutes. Aftandil Hajiyev doubled the lead with a powerful 20-metre shot five minutes before half time and Imamaliev completed the scoring from a free kick on 70 minutes.

MOIK comeback
FK MOIK Baku ended their three-game losing streak as they came from behind to record a 2-1 win over FK Khazar Sumgayit. Parviz Bagirov opened the scoring for Sumgayit on 32 minutes but goals from Jeykhun Adishirinov and Tofig Babaev on 73 and 83 minutes clinched the victory for MOIK.

First win
FK Lokomotiv Imishli registered their first win of the campaign as they beat PFK Turan 3-1. The other three games ended in draws as FK Umid were held 2-2 by FK Adliyye, FK Khazar Universiteti and FK Neftchi played out a goalless stalemate and the match betweenFK Shahdag-Samur Gusar and FK Kapaz finished 1-1 .
