Valdo move made permanent

Members

Club Atlético Osasuna have signed Valmiro Lopes 'Valdo' on a permanent deal from Real Madrid CF.

Impressive form
The Spanish Under-21 international joined Osasuna on loan last December and his impressive form persuaded the Pamplona club to spend €1.5m to sign him up full-time. Valdo has signed a three-year contract, although Madrid retain an option to re-sign the player in each of the next three seasons.

Izco 'delighted'
Osasuna president Patxi Izco said: "We are all delighted with the agreement. Valdo wanted to stay and we had already reached an agreement with him but Real decided to wait and announce it after the season finished.

Great potential
"Valdo has shown us he can become a very good player and Real Madrid know it too. That's why they will keep the option to get him back within the next three years."
