FC Basel remain within three points of Grasshopper-Club at the top of the Swiss Nationalliga A title after coming from two behind to draw 2-2 with the leaders.

Grasshoppers go ahead
Mladen Petric put the league leaders ahead in the 18th minute and the score remained the same when Grasshoppers' Ricardo Cabanas and Basel's Mario Cantaluppi were sent off just before half-time. The home side had the better of the ten-a-side game to start with, as Christoph Spycher put them 2-0 up 13 minutes after the break.

Basel comeback
However, title-holders Basel surged back into the game with two goals in two minutes. Hakan Yakin made it 2-1 in the 65th minute and then Christian Giménez levelled the match to keep Basel in touch with three fixtures remaining.

Xamax draw level
Neuchâtel Xamax FC moved level on points with third-placed BSC Young Boys thanks to a 2-0 victory. Augustine Simo opened the scoring in the 50th minute and Leandro D'Amico clinched the victory 27 minutes later, but Young Boys remain in the UEFA Cup qualification berth on goal difference.
