OMIK Baku defeated FK Lokomotiv Imishli 3-2 thanks to Zaur Ramazanov's double strike, while FK Shafa edged past FK Dinamo-Bakili 2-1 as Senan Gurbanov scored twice against his former club.
Postponed game
FK Shamkir, who won the last two championships to be completed in Azerbaijan in 1999/00 and 2000/01, remain on one victory from one game after their match at FK Kapaz was postponed.
