Article body
FK Leotar preserved their three-point advantage at the top of the Bosnia-Herzegovnian Premier League with a 2-2 draw at home to second-placed NK Zeljeznicar.
Bright start
The away side started the brighter and took the lead in the tenth minute as Leotar's Slavoljub Djordjevic put the ball into his own net. Having fallen behind, the home team came more into the game and drew level on the stroke of half-time as Pavle Delibasic converted from the penalty spot.
Zeljeznicar equalise
Boosted by the equaliser, Leotar took the lead early in the second half as Siniša Mulina made the score 2-1. Zeljeznicar refused to accept defeat and equalised nine minutes later through Almir Ćosic. Neither side was able to find a winning goal in the final half-hour and with just three games left to play Leotar are on course to claim the championship.
Unexpected setback
Third-placed NK Široki Brijeg suffered a surprising 4-0 defeat at the hands of lowly FK Sloboda Tuzla. Samir Kudzovic gave the home side an early lead and the visitors were unable to find a way back into the game. Staniša Nikolic and Tarik Okanovic added two more before the interval, with Darko Vojvodic rounding off the win in the 54th minute.
Resounding win
In contrast, fourth-placed FK Sarajevo were comfortable 6-2 winners against FK Kozara, with all six goals scored by different players. Muhidin Zukic gave the home side the lead in the third minute, before Dzemo Smječanin and Dzemo Berberovic, from the penalty spot, extended the advantage. Predrag Stojiljkovic made the score 3-1 on the stroke of half-time, but second-half strikes from Adnan Osmanodžic, Emir Obuća and Džemo Smječanin sealed a resounding victory, although Stojiljkovic scored his second of the game with a late penalty.
Comfortable for Zrinjski
At the other end of the table, third-bottom side FK Mladost Gacko suffered a heavy 5-2 defeat at NK Zrinjski, who were 3-0 up inside 25 minutes thanks to two goals from Armando Marenci and one from Armin Dzinovic. Petar Gusic pulled one back for Mladost to give them a glimmer of hope but two further strikes from Marjan Ivankovic ended the away side's challenge.
Velez draw
Meanwhile, FK Velez boosted their hopes of avoiding relegation with a 1-1 draw at FK Borac Banja Luka. Velez took the lead at the start of the second-half through Asmir Dzafic but were pegged back by Siniša Djuric's 66th-minute equaliser.
Bosna beaten again
Elsewhere, NK Orašje enjoyed a comfortable 3-0 victory against bottom club FK Bosna, while NK Jedinstvo also picked up three points against FK Glasinac, winning 2-0. NK Posušje drew 0-0 with FK Celik, while NK Brotnjo were 2-1 winners against FK Rudar Ugljevik. The game between FK Buducnost Banovici and NK Zepce was abandoned.
