Article body
Former Austrian international Roman Mählich has left SK Sturm Graz after eight years to join first division SC Untersiebenbrunn on a two-year contract.
Sturm honours
The 31-year-old midfield player was the last remaining member of Ivica Osim's Sturm which won the Austrian Cup in 1996 and 1997, the championship in 1998, the domestic double the following season and then became the first Austrian team to reach the UEFA Champions League second group stage in 1999/00.
World Cup appearance
Mählich, who joined Sturm from FC Tirol Innsbruck in 1995, remained at the club this season despite Osim's departure last summer, but could not prevent a disappointing campaign which saw Sturm miss out on a European place. Capped 20 times, Mählich represented his country at the 1998 FIFA World Cup.
