Mario Cutura was twice on target as HNK Cibalia defeated newly-crowned Croatian champions NK Dinamo Zagreb 3-2.

Balaban opener
Cutura opened the scoring in the 18th minute but Bosko Balaban levelled the scores when he stepped up to convert a penalty he himself had won two minutes after the interval.

Impressive comeback
Balaban then collected his 15th goal of the season in the 51st minute to go just one place behind team-mate Ivica Olic in the domestic scoring charts. Cibalia, however, staged an impressive comeback and Ivan Lajtman sealed a memorable win, combining well with Zoran Ratkovic to score the winner following Cultura's 59th-minute equaliser.

Krpan double
Second-placed HNK Hajduk Split could only manage a 2-2 draw away against NK Varteks. The home side twice went into the lead, once through Danijel Hrman in the ninth minute and again through Miljenko Mumlenko in the 35th, but two goals from Petar Krpan were enough for the away side to claim a share of the spoils.

Milas decisive
Fourth-placed NK Kamen Ingrad Velika, meanwhile, collected a 1-0 win at home against last season's champions NK Zagreb to keep alive their UEFA Cup hopes. Ivan Milas scored the only goal of the game in the seventh minute.

Relegation issues
In the relegation play-off half of the table, NK Zadarkomerc defeated NK Osdijek 3-2, HNK Rijeka overcame NK Slaven Belupo 2-0 while NK Pomorac and HNK Šibenik played out a 1-1 draw. The last round of matches next weekend will decide which two teams are demoted.
