Article body
Interim coach Johannes Haubitz has committed himself to the coaching job at FC Kärnten after agreeing a permanent contract.
Hard decision
Haubitz has left his job as an estate agent to sign the five-year deal that will keep him at the Wörthersee stadium until 2008. "This decision wasn't easy, but it had to be made and I really enjoy working for Kärnten and will now continue my successful work," said Haubitz, who has had a close connection with the club since representing them for the first time as a player in the mid-1970s.
Major role
Haubitz, who started his coaching career with Kärnten's amateur side, had already served as caretaker coach of the first team last season and finally succeeded Rüdiger Abramczik in March. He then played a major role in saving the team from relegation and leading them to the Austrian Cup final, where they will face champions FK Austria Wien on 1 June.
