Projected debts
Reyna stood down today along with eleven other board members during an extraordinary meeting of Barcelona shareholders. Reyna's last act as president, a position he assumed after the previous incumbent Joan Gaspart resigned in February, was to announce projected debts of €55m.
Player sales
The full extent of the Catalan club's debts will be known by 30 June, but they are expected to be between €47m and €55m. Reyna added that Barcelona had been able to raise funds "of between €49m and €53m" in previous years through player sales but that he did not envisage a similar income this summer.
