Čakar hat-trick
Damir Čakar scored a hat-trick, putting the home side into the lead on nine minutes before adding two more goals, on 33 and 60 minutes. Milan Stojanoski added a fourth goal before Dušan Vasiljevic scored a consolation for the visitors.

Points advantage
The result, coupled with second-placed FK Crvena Zvezda's 1-1 draw at FK Zemun, extended coach Lothar Matthäus' side's points advantage at the top to 19. Zvezda led through a 70th-minute goal from Nemanja Vidic, but the home side equalised five minutes from time when Saša Stojanović scored.

Železnik draw
Third-placed FK Železnik failed to close the gap on Zvezda after being held to a 1-1 draw by FK Vojvodina. FK Hajduk Kula defeated FK Rad 2-0 while FK Radnički Obrenovac were 2-1 winners at FK Javor.

Filipovic double
Elsewhere, Bojan Filipovic scored twice as FK Obilic beat FK Sutjeska 2-0, OFK Beograd were held to a 2-2 draw by FK Čukarički and FK Zeta claimed a 3-1 win over struggling FK Radnički Niš.
