Serbia and Montenegro round-up: Partizan falter against strugglers

FK Partizan's lead at the top of the Prva savezna liga was cut to 13 points with a 1-0 defeat by FK Rad.

Deserved victory
Rad dominated the match and gained their deserved victory when Darko Pivaljevic headed the winner in the 70th minute. The result ensured Rad stayed within three points of FC Sartid in the race to avoid relegation.

Gap narrowed
FK Crvena Zvezda narrowed the gap with a single-goal win against FK Vojvodina, Dragan Mladenovic's 79th-minute goal ended Vojvodina's nine-game run of victories, as they dropped from third to fifth.

Mogren in trouble
OFK Beograd took third place with a 3-0 win against second-bottom FK Mogren. Milos Bajalic scored the first goal in the 63rd minute, followed by Zoran Stojinovic and Vanja Grubac from the penalty spot. The result leaves Mogren all but relegated.

Zelznik victory
FK Zeleznik are in the final UEFA Cup qualification berth of fourth position following a 3-1 victory against FK Zeta that virtually ends the beaten side's own European hopes. Zoran Djuraskovic gave Zelznik the lead on on 51 minutes and Petar Sopov doubled the advantage 18 minutes later. Branimir Ivanisevic pulled one back with 12 minutes left, but Dalibor Pesterac confirmed the result in added time.

Early goals
Serbo-Montenegrin Cup finalists Sartid remained clear of Rad thanks to a 2-0 win against FK Obilic. Miodrag Zecevic opened the scoring in the 23rd minute and the result was sealed three minutes later by Marko Pantelic.

Cukaricki beat rivals
Elsewhere, FK Cukaricki beat relegation rivals FK Javor Ivanjica 1-0, FK Radnicki Obrenovac overcame FK Radnicki Niš by the same score, already-relegated FK Rudar Pljevlja lost 2-0 to FK Zemun and FK Sutjeska secured a 3-1 win against FK Hajduk Kula.
