HNK Hajduk Split moved to within four points of the top of the Croatian First League with a 1-0 win away against leaders NK Dinamo Zagreb.

Title chance missed
Dinamo could have claimed the title with a victory, but Milan Rapaic's free-kick was deflected past the home team's goalkeeper Tomislav Butina five minutes before half-time to give Hajduk three points that kept their own title challenge alive.

Narrow victory
Elsewhere in the championship play-off group, NK Kamen Ingard Velika were 1-0 winners at home to NK Varteks with a 56th-minute goal from Josko Popovic separating the two sides, while NK Zagreb drew 1-1 with HNK Cibalia. Domagoj Abramovic's 53rd-minute penalty put Cibalia in front, but Predrag Simic’s equaliser nine minutes from the final whistle earned the home side a draw.
