Championship play-off leaders NK Dinamo Zagreb maintained a seven-point lead in the newly-divided table.

NK Dinamo Zagreb comfortably defeated bottom side NK Zagreb 5-0 to establish a seven-point lead at the top of the newly-divided Croatian First League.

Early breakthrough
In the first game since the league divided into promotion and relegation play-off groups, Dinamo took the lead after just two minutes as Dario Maric opened the scoring, before Boško Balaban scored twice, after 18 and 27 minutes, to put the home side in complete control.

Second-half strikes
Mihale Mikic made it 4-0 five minutes into the second half, before Mate Dragicevic added a fifth in the final minute.

Penalty drama
Second-placed HNK Hajduk Split were 2-0 winners at home to NK Kamen Ingrad Velika, as Dario Srna converted an 11th-minute penalty he had won himself. Srna then missed a golden chance to seal the points 15 minutes from time, missing a second penalty after Dževad Turkovic had been fouled, but Turkovic then made the game safe, scoring Hajduk's second two minutes before the end.

Late winner
Third-placed NK Varteks won 1-0 at home against HNK Cibalia, with Ivice Huljev scoring the winning goal with seven minutes left to play.

Comfortable victory
In the relegation play-off group, leaders NK Slaven Belupo secured a 3-0 victory against HNK Šibenik, with Petar Bošnjak opening the scoring before second-half goals from Roy Ferencina and Miljenko Kovačic rounded off the victory.

Zadarkomerc move second
NK Zadarkomerc moved above NK Osijek into second place with a 2-1 home victory against HNK Rijeka, while Osijek could only draw 0-0 at home with NK Pomorac.
