NK Dynamo Zagreb maintained their four-point lead at the top of the Prva Hrvatska Nogometna Liga with a confident 3-0 away win at NK Varteks.

Early goals
Dinamo, who suffered a home defeat by second-placed HNK Hajduk Split in the last round of matches, bounced back impressively, and had sealed the points before 20 minutes had gone. Dino Drpic opened the scoring after five minutes, before two further goals from Boško Balaban, after 13 and 19 minutes, put the away side in complete command.

Narrow win
Hajduk stayed in touch with the leaders with a 1-0 win at home to NK Zagreb. Despite controlling the majority of the game, Hajduk had to be content with Darijo Srna's 61st minute goal.

Late winner
In the other game in the championship play-off group, Mario Lucic scored a winner two minutes from time as HNK Cibalia were 3-2 victors at home to NK Kamen Ingrad Velika, for whom Zoran Zekic scored twice.
