Championship chance
With four games left to play, Brugge's advantage over second-placed RSC Anderlecht was reduced to eleven points with four games left to play, but the team can seal the title at home to K. Sint-Truidense VV next week.
Brugge bounce back
Stein Huysegems gave Lierse the lead three minutes before the hour, converting Arouna Kone's pass, but Brugge equalised 13 minutes later through Gaétan Englebert.
Five-star Anderlecht
Anderlecht were 5-0 winners away to third-placed Sporting Lokeren St-Niklaas Waaslan, with Nenad Jestrovic opening the scoring in the seventh minute with his 15th goal of the season. Aruna Dindane doubled the lead four minutes before half-time, and second-half strikes from Ki Hyeon Seol and two for Jestrovic sealed the win.
Stirring comeback
Sint-Truiden were defeated 4-3 at home by R. AEC Mons, despite leading 3-1 after 51 minutes with Bram van Geel scoring once and Désiré Mbonabucya twice. However, two second-half strikes from Cédric Roussel, completing his hat-trick, brought Mons level, and the away side took all three points in the final minute thanks to Jean-Pierre La Placa's winning goal.
Comfortable win
KRC Genk were 6-2 winners away to KV Mechelen, with Moumouni Dagano, Koen Daerden and Kevin Vandenbergh making the half-time score 3-2, as Simon Valgaerts and Marco Nys replied for the home side. Further goals from Vandenbergh, Dagano and Thomas Chatelle in the second period confirmed a comprehensive away victory.
Late goals
Elsewhere, KVC Westerlo suffered a 3-2 defeat at home against R. Standard de Liège, with Ole-Martin Aarst scoring twice for the visitors before Gonzague Vandooren produced a last-minute winner. KFC Germinal Beerschot Antwerpen drew 1-1 at home to R. Charleroi SC, who scored a last-minute equaliser through Hungarian Miklos Lendvai.
Away win
R. Antwerp FC earned a 1-1 draw away to RAA Louviéroise, while goals from Gunther Schepens, Steven Ribus and Jacky Peeters gave KAA Gent a 3-0 win at KSK Beveren, who ended the match with nine men. The game between KFC Lommelse SK and R. Excelsior Mouscron was awarded to Mouscron 5-0 as Lommel are in liquidation.
