Article body
FK Partizan increased their lead at the top of the Serbia and Montenegro Prva savezna liga to 17 points at the weekend after a 1-0 victory against FK Sutjeska.
Vukić winner
Zvonimr Vukić secured victory with a penalty in the 22nd minute. Meanwhile, second-placed FK Crvena Zvezda were held at home by fellow high-fliers FK Zeleznik. All looked to be going to plan for Zvezda as they took the lead after 35 minutes when Igor Bogdanović scored but they could not hold on to their advantage and Steven Bates' equaliser eight minutes later earned the visitors a 1-1 draw.
OFK take advantage
OFK Beograd took advantage of that result to move level with Zvezda on 45 points following a narrow 1-0 victory over FK Hajduk Kula. OFK left it late though and needed a last-minute goal from Miljan Mrdaković to secure the points. Things were not so difficult for FK Obilic who secured a comfortable 3-1 victory over FK Javor Ivanjica thanks to a blitz of three goals in 19 minutes at the start of the second half.
Radnički struggling
FK Radnicki Niš continue to struggle at the foot of the table after going down 1-0 at FK Rudar Pljevlja. That result leaves Radnički with just six points from 23 games and they remain eight points adrift at the foot of the league. Of some comfort to the basement side was that the nearest club to them, FK Mogren, also lost. They went down 2-1 at home to FK Sartid, for whom Nenad Mirosavljević was among the scorers.
Other games
Elsewhere, Aleksandar Pantić scored the only goal of the game 12 minutes from time as FK Zemun beat FK Cukaricki, while FK Vojvodina beat FK Radnicki Obrenovac 2-0 and the match between FK Zeta and FK Rad finished goalless.
