FC Politehnica AEK Timisoara have signed United States goalkeeper Steve Reese on a four-year contract.
Wide experience
The 22-year-old has joined from third division side FC Aerostar Bacau, and previously played for Salem Oregon, Cascade Surge and Western Baptist College in his home country, before moving to Romania almost two years ago. Reese impressed Politehnica coach Stelian Gherman during a winter training camp, which led to the transfer.
'A lot to work on'
President Anton Dobos was also impressed with the club's new signing, but warned that "he is a very good goalkeeper, but he has a lot to work on." Reese is set to challenge Andrian Bogdan, the Moldovan national team goalkeeper, for the No1 position.
