Members

Pär Zetterberg will move back to Belgium when his contract with Olympiakos Piraeus FC expires in the summer.

Two-year deal
The 32-year-old midfield player has signed a two-year contract with an option to extend the deal for a further year. It is also anticipated that the Swedish international will become a scout for the club when he concludes his playing career.

Happy to return
Zetterberg is delighted to be rejoining the club he graced between 1986 and 2000, making 258 appearances and scoring 62 goals before venturing to Greece. "I am very happy to come back," he said.

No diabetes worries
He added that a longstanding diabetes problem does not concern him. "My diabetes has always been totally under control and I have not been injured in four seasons. I will be returning on the back of a very good [UEFA] Champions League campaign."

Money no matter
Money, he claimed, was irrelevant. "I earned enough money in Greece not to have to consider the financial aspect. I wanted to return and Olympiakos were not offering to renew terms."

Olympiakos cause
He is nevertheless ready to fully commit himself to the Olympiakos cause for the rest of the season. "I am totally mentally prepared for the remainder of the campaign. We can still be champions as we are only three points behind Panathinaikos [FC]. I want to be a champion for the third time in Greece. Everything is possible."

Champions League hopes
Zetterberg is also keen for Anderlecht, who lie 14 points drift of Belgian First Division leaders Club Brugge KV, to reach the Champions League through a second-place domestic finish. "Of course I hope that Anderlecht go and make the Champions League. That is where they belong."
