BSC Young Boys coach Marco Schällibaum has signed a one-year extension to his contract.
Extension possible
The agreement means he will stay at the club until the end of next season, with an option of a further year. "The contract between Young Boys and coach Marco Schällibaum was extended by a year and includes an achievement-dependent option," the club said.
Future resolved
Schälibaum had threatened to leave if his future at the club, which appointed Reto Gert as sporting manager two weeks ago, was not resolved. Schälibaum took over as coach in September 1999 when Young Boys were bottom of the second division. He led them to the top flight the following season and has taken them to seventh in the Nationalliga this term.
