The Citizens remain five points behind Sliema, and two short of Birkirkara FC, after they were unable to break down Pietà in a rearranged fixture at the Centenary stadium. Milen Penchev twice went close to scoring while Karl Bonnici also drew a save from Pietà keeper Saviour Darmanin. The game had been postponed from last Sunday due to bad weather.

Meanwhile, the wind and rain affected the evening's other match, a 1-1 draw between Floriana FC and Hamrun Spartans FC in the relegation pool. Floriana custodian Matthew Camilleri was the hero, keeping out a late penalty from Stefan Sultana, the league's record scorer. Floriana had taken a first-half lead through Clifton Ciantar only to concede an equaliser to Hamrun's Mauro Brincat.
