Article body
Permanent move possible
The 29-year-old striker arrives in Switzerland on a free transfer after he was released by his previous club, Legia Warszawa. The terms of the deal include the possibility of a permanent contract in the summer.
Experienced player
Citko, capped eleven times by Poland, is an experienced forward who made six UEFA Champions League appearances for Widzew Lódz in 1996/97, scoring twice. He will hope to keep Aarau in the top flight, as they will be involved in the relegation group for the second half of the campaign.

Citko reportedly turned down a move to English Premiership side Blackburn Rovers FC in the mid-1990s when he was at the height of his powers. His career subsequently stalled, however, after he tore his achilles tendon during the 1997/98 season. Last year he joined Israeli outfit Hapoel Beer-Sheva on loan before returning briefly to Legia.
