Rapid reel in duo

Members

Mihai Stere and Stefanel Razvan Farmache have joined FC Rapid Bucuresti from fellow top-flight clubs.

FC Rapid Bucuresti have moved to strengthen their squad with the purchase of two Divizia A players, Mihai Stere and Stefanel Razvan Farmache.

Contract stipulations
Midfield player Stere arrives from FC Brasov on a three-year contract, although there is no fee involved as the 27-year-old would have been out of contract in the summer. Stere's salary will increase over each of his three years at the Rapid stadium, but he will have to play a minimum of 26 games a season to receive his full entitlement.

Similar deal
Defender Farmache, who has joined from CF Sportul Studentesc, has signed a similar deal. The 24-year-old has played just 33 games in the Romanian top flight, while Stere has struck 20 goals in 161 appearances for FC Farul Constanta and Brasov.

Possible departures
The signings of Farmache and Stere will soften the blow of the departure of playmaker Constantin Schumacher, who joined Chinese club Yunnan Hongta for a figure believed to be in the region of €600,000 last month, and the possible exits of Marius Maldarasanu and Adrian Iencsi. Both have been linked with Turkish club Besiktas JK.
