FC Aarau have signed Swiss Under-21 international defender Luca Denicola on loan from FC Zürich.
Strengthening the defence
"We have signed defender Luca Denicola on loan," Aarau said in a statement. "He will strengthen the defence for the relegation-promotion round." The 21-year-old, who has also been on loan at BSC Young Boys this season, worked with Aarau coach Alain Geiger during his time in charge of Grasshoppers' youth set-up.
Jashari joins Winterthur
Denicola is not the only player leaving Zürich, who have also loaned midfield player Adnan Jashari to second division strugglers FC Winterthur until the end of the season. Aarau will play in the relegation-promotion play-offs when the season resumes on 22 February after finishing bottom of the 12-team Nationalliga A.
