Bleak outlook
Alicarte faces two months out after breaking a foot in training last week while for Algerian international striker Bezzaz the outlook is even bleaker - the 21-year-old may not play again this season after fracturing a bone in his ankle in a practice match.
Leroy link
The Corsican club may seek to compensate for the loss of Bezzaz by moving for Paris Saint-Germain FC forward Laurent Leroy during this month's transfer window. The absence of the experienced Alicarte will doubtless be sorely felt, however. The 28-year-old will be in plaster for a month.
Relegation fight
Ajaccio, second division champions last season, have struggled in the top flight this term and entered the winter break third from bottom of the Ligue 1 table after winning just four of their 20 games.
