Swiss Cup winner
The 46-year-old, who was a Swiss Cup winner with the Berne club in 1977, will succeed Heinz Fischer, who resigned last month along with commercial director Fredy Bickel. Mauro Santona has been named vice-president, while Matthias Remund and Simon Freiburghaus have become board members.
'Peace and stability'
A statement on the club's official website read: "The new administrative board has set itself a goal of solving the club's current problems as well as bringing peace, stability and confidence to the club."
