Jerry Christian Tchuisse has rejoined FC Chernomorets Krasnodarskiy Kray on loan from FC Spartak Moskva.

Premier-Liga newcomers FC Chernomorets Krasnodarskiy Kray have brought defender Jerry Christian Tchuisse back to the club on a one-year loan deal from FC Spartak Moskva.

Initial impact
The 28-year-old Cameroonian right-back moved to Russia in 1998 from Leopard Douala in his home country. Tchuisse initially played for an amateur Russian side, but quickly came to the attention of Chernomorets scouts. Tchuisse's first spell at the club lasted two seasons and saw him earn a reputation as one of the best defenders in the Russian top flight, despite suffering the setback of a broken leg.

High-profile transfer
Tchuisse's performances alerted the big clubs, and in summer 2000 Spartak beat off competition from neighbours FC Lokomotiv Moskva for the defender's signature. Tchuisse went on to enjoy considerable success in Moscow, winning league titles in 2000 and 2001 and coming close to accepting Russian citizenship in order to be eligible for the national side before opting instead to play for Cameroon.

Disappointing season
However, Spartak slipped to third in the league last year and Tschuisse's form suffered. He missed out on a place in the Cameroon squad for the FIFA World Cup and has now become the latest of several high-profile Spartak players to leave the Moscow side.
