Ashkaev accepts Molodechno challenge

Members

Vyacheslav Ashkaev has taken charge of Belarussian first division side FC Molodechno 2000.

Vyacheslav Ashkaev is back in work after accepting the offer to take charge of Belarussian first division side FC Molodechno 2000.

Winning team
Molodechno have hired a winning team in Ashkaev and his assistant Igor Gasjuto, who led FC Belshina Bobruisk to the league and cup double in 2001 - the first title in the Bobruisk club's history. They will work alongside the previous trainer, Aleksandr Kistenj, who will remain as part of the coaching staff.

Financial problems
Ashkaev, 43, left Belshina in August last year after the club's financial problems made it impossible to maintain their success. He then worked as sports director at FC Torpedo Zhodino but left at the end of the season.

Test of credentials
The Molodechno job should test fully Ashkaev's coaching credentials. Like Belshina, the club suffered serious financial difficulties last season and survived relegation narrowly, finishing second from bottom of the table.
