BSC Young Boys have been hit by the resignation of club president Heinz Fischer and commercial manager Fredy Bickel.
Police investigation
The Nationalliga A side are in the process of being investigated by police after allegations of forgery and mismanagement, and revealed in a statement on today that the two men had left the club. "Manager Fredy Bickel and president Heinz Fischer are no longer active within the club with immediate effect," the statement said.
Temporary control
The Berne side said that finance director Peter Mast would take temporary charge of the club while: "meetings take place in order to fill the vacant posts". Bickel added: "The pressure was just too large."
Newspaper reports
Reports in the local papers in Switzerland said some of the investigations related to the transfers this year of striker Stéphane Chapuisat from Grasshopper-Club and Joel Magnin from FC Lugano.
