New contract
Vukasinovic has signed a two-and-a-half year contract with the club from Novi Sad and has immediately taken charge of the first team after Djoincevic resigned to take charge of Prva Savezna Liga rivals FK Zemun.
Vojvodina veteran
The new coach, who was in charge of FK Cukaricki until November until resigning after round 15, was a midfield player at Vojvodina between 1971 and 1975 and was born in Novi Sad, which is 80km from the capital, Belgrade.
'The club of my heart'
"Vojvodina is the club of my heart," he said after taking charge of the club who currently lie sixth in the table with 29 points. "I don't want to speak too much, we just need to work hard. Football is a difficult job. I know that."
Settled squad
Vukasinovic has pledged to establish a settled side at Vojvodina, saying: "My wish is that we abolition with practice of constantly selling players. We must be clever and save our powers. I believe that we can be a major power in Yugoslavian football in future."
'We are going to the top'
Meanwhile, Vojvodina director Cvetko Ridjosic was delighted to have found a new coach so soon after the departure of Djoincevic. "Within a few hours we have lost one coach and got a new one," he said. "Now I really believe we are much stronger and we are going to the top."

Ridjosic said that bringing Vukasinovic back to the club was an excellent decision. "Vukasinovic is a Vojvodina man and he knows what the club needs to do at this moment."
